This page explains exactly how we research, test, score, and update our reviews so you can decide how much weight to give our recommendations.

Scoring Criteria
Each tool is scored across six factors. Weights reflect how much each factor matters to the typical founder or small team.

We do not accept payment for product placements, "sponsored reviews," or favorable editorial treatment in exchange for compensation of any kind.
If a company reaches out to us about coverage, we evaluate them the same way we evaluate every other product — through our standard review process. Contact with a vendor does not influence our conclusion.
Sponsored content, if ever published, will be clearly labeled as "Sponsored" at the top of the page — separate from editorial reviews.

AI tools change fast. Pricing plans shift, features ship, and new competitors emerge. We review our articles periodically and update them when:

- A major new feature is released that affects our score
- A better alternative enters the market
- A reader spots an error or outdated information
Comparison articles display a "Last reviewed" date so you always know how current the information is.
